What to expect when your young person joins EAP

Young people are referred to EAP for a number of different reasons. We understand that a change of school can be difficult for both the young person and their family. We aim to make this transition as smooth as possible for everyone involved.

When joining EAP you should expect the following prior to starting our provision:

1) At least one meeting with a member of the Senior Leadership Team and our Assessment Co-ordinator. 

2) A thorough assessment period (see refer to the attached booklet) to ensure we fully understand the needs of the young person before they start to make sure they are successful at EAP

3) Further Induction meetings prior to joining our provision.
