Film and Media

Subject Ethos: 

Film is the pre-eminent art form of the last 100 years and an important part of our everyday lives. It is an extraordinarily powerful medium and our vision is to inspire a range of responses from the emotional to the reflective as we are drawn into characters, their narratives, and the issues that films raise.  It is surely important to study a medium which has such a significant influence on the way people around the world think and feel: this is what we aim to do in Film Studies.
