Jack Petchy Award Trip to Thorpe Park

Students Enjoy Reward Trip to Thorpe Park Through the Jack Petchy Achievement Awards
Our students recently enjoyed an unforgettable day out at Thorpe Park, celebrating their hard work, commitment, and positive contributions through the Jack Petchey Achievement Awards.
The trip was organised as a special reward for students who had been recognised through the Jack Petchey programme — an initiative that celebrates young people’s achievements, leadership, and determination both in and out of the classroom. For many of our learners, this was a well-deserved opportunity to relax, have fun, and create lasting memories after consistently demonstrating dedication to their personal and educational development.
From the moment the group arrived, excitement was high. Students had the chance to experience a wide range of rides and attractions, working together to plan their day, support one another, and push themselves to try new things. Whether it was facing their fears on roller coasters or simply enjoying time with friends, the day encouraged confidence, teamwork, and resilience — values that strongly align with the ethos of EAP.
Beyond the thrills, the trip offered a valuable chance for students and staff to connect in a positive, informal environment. These shared experiences help strengthen relationships, build trust, and support students’ emotional wellbeing. Many students commented on how proud they felt to be chosen for the trip and how motivating it was to be recognised for their efforts.
The Jack Petchey Achievement Awards play an important role in celebrating young people who may not always receive mainstream recognition but consistently show growth, perseverance, and a positive attitude. Reward days such as this reinforce the message that effort matters and those achievements — big or small — deserve to be celebrated.
We are incredibly proud of all the students who took part and would like to extend our thanks to the Jack Petchey Foundation for their continued support. Opportunities like this make a real difference, inspiring our learners to keep aiming high and reminding them that their hard work does not go unnoticed.
We look forward to celebrating many more achievements throughout the year.
