Help and Support for Parents

Are you struggling to get your child in to school, struggling with issues such as money, housing, mental health, family issues?  Maybe you need support to be able to access other services or professionals?

Here at EAP we have a team of support workers who come from a variety of backgrounds.  (Alternative Provision Specialist Taskforce - APST). The team works on site at EAP supporting the day to day running of the school as well as providing their own targeted wrap around support to students.

Jennie Truman – APST & Integrated Youth Service Coordinator

Jennie works for the London Borough of Ealing working with young people who find themselves outside of mainstream school and/or working with the Youth Justice Service. 

  • Based in school 4 days a week
  • Works with EAP, APST team and other multi agencies to agree support plans for all students on roll at EAP
  • Advice & guidance provided to young people and families when there is police involvement and to help young people and parents.
  • Attends professionals meetings on behalf of students & families as a designated safeguarding lead
  • Works closely with the EAP Pupil & Family worker both term time & school holidays to carry out home visits, food bank scheme and activities for students.

George Charalambous – Pupil & Family Worker

  • Offers 1:1 parent support & group sessions
  • Meets students as part of assessment process & ongoing
  • Supports students with work experience & post 16 college visits
  • Works with (Youth Justice Lead) to support court appearances & the role of appropriate adult
  • Coordinates community foodbank services for families

Cally Lonnen - EAP School Counsellor 

Cally is a humanistic psychotherapist providing therapeutic support to students at EAP​

  • ​Based in school 3 days a week.
  • Provides a safe, confidential space for EAP students to process difficult thoughts and feelings.
  • Offers weekly or drop-in sessions to students in need of mental-health support.
  • Meets all new students during assessment to establish how we can best support the student's emotional needs.
  • Referring students to more specialist forms of support when appropriate.
  • Works with EAP & APST safeguarding students at risk of harm.

Emmanuel Henry – APST Post 16 Mentor

  • Works with local employers to coordinate work experience placements
  • Provides regular mentoring to targeted students to support them to apply for opportunities after Year 11
  • Support with job/apprenticeship &college applications, CV writing, interview preparation & careers advice & guidance.
