Career Fair 2026

Year 11 Careers Fair: Opening Doors to Future Pathways
On Thursday 7th May, our school hosted an exciting and enriching Year 11 Careers Fair, running from 1:30pm to 3:00pm in the school hall. This important event has been designed to give students direct exposure to the wide range of opportunities available to them after Year 11, including apprenticeships, college courses, and university pathways.
All Year 11 students took part and remained on-site for the duration of the event, even some year 10 students got to participate and see what could be available for them at the end of year 11.
Bringing Industry and Education Together
We are pleased to welcome a growing list of organisations, including:
- AAXA – Hair, Beauty, Nails & Barbering
- JBT Training - Construction
- Ticket 2 Train – Functional Skills
- Brentford Community Trust – Post 16 Sports Courses
- North London Garages – Mechanical Apprenticeships
- West Thames College – Vocational Courses
- Nina Lewis Beauty Academy – Cosmetic Makeup & Nail Technology
With a target of 7 participating organisations, students had the opportunity to meet employers, colleges, and universities offering a diverse range of routes and specialisms.
A Dynamic Carousel Experience
To ensure every student benefited fully, the year group was divided into groups, rotating around each organisation in 8-minute sessions. This fast‑paced, interactive format encouraged meaningful engagement and allowed students to gather key insights from multiple providers.
Employers offered insights into:
- Their company background and the services they provide
- Apprenticeship opportunities for 16+ students
- Application timelines and recruitment processes
- Skills and qualities they seek in young people
- Success stories, including standout apprentices
Colleges and universities covered:
- Courses and qualifications available
- Expectations regarding attendance, punctuality and behaviour
- Student life and support
- Inspirational success stories from their learners
A Massive Thank You
A special “Thank You” goes to Mr Emmanuel Henry, whose dedication and hard work have been central to organising and coordinating this event. We are grateful to all staff for their support in ensuring this opportunity benefits every Year 11 student.
